Featured on AutoHunter.com, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray convertible.

According to the National Corvette Museum, it is one of 10,919 Corvette convertibles produced for the 1963 model year. It has accrued less than 2,000 miles since receiving a frame-off restoration in 2011. Power is supplied by the reportedly original 327ci V8, which is connected to a three-speed manual transmission. Features include hide-away headlights, a Delco AM/FM radio, and a four-wheel independent suspension. Finished in red and equipped with a color-matched removable hardtop over a black vinyl interior, this first-year C2 Corvette is now offered with a car cover and a clear title.

The red exterior is topped with a body-color removable hardtop that has a glass rear window. Equipment includes hide-away headlights, a driver-side rearview mirror, rocker trim, and a rear antenna.

A set of 15-inch steel wheels equipped with full covers and whitewall radial tires connect this Sting Ray to the road.

The two bucket seats are covered in black vinyl and flanked by black vinyl door panels. Features include manual windows, manual steering, a Delco AM/FM radio, and a center console-mounted manual shifter.

Vehicle information is displayed on a 160-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and fuel, oil pressure, battery, and temperature gauges. The odometer shows 73,692 miles, but the true mileage on this Corvette is unknown.

Under the front-hinged hood is the reportedly original 327ci V8. That is connected to a four-barrel carburetor and sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed manual gearbox.

A four-wheel independent suspension helps this Corvette handle curvy roads. Four-wheel manual disc brakes bring it to a stop.

The auction for this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray convertible ends on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. (PDT).
