Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this restored 1995 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus. It was originally built in Brazil and has reportedly accrued 78,791 kilometers (48,958 miles) since new. Power is provided by an air-cooled 1.6-liter flat-four engine connected to a four-speed manual transaxle. Finished in black and white over a black vinyl interior, this Type 2 Bus is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

The 14-window body is finished in black and accented with white bumpers and a white roof. Features include auxiliary front lighting, dual mirrors, and rear side vents.

A set of 14-inch wheels equipped with VW wheel covers and 185/70 Jinyu YH11 radial tires connect this Type 2 to the road.

Inside, the three rows of seats are covered in newer black vinyl with quilted panels, offering room for up to nine people. Cabin features include manual windows, fire extinguisher, floor-mounted manual shifter, and folding middle bench seat.

Vehicle information is displayed on a 150-km/h (93-mph) speedometer, fuel gauge, and battery and oil pressure warning lights. The odometer shows 78,791 kilometers (48,958 miles); the latest mileage figure on the CARFAX report as of June 2024 is 48,960 miles.

At the rear of the vehicle is an air-cooled 1.6-liter flat-four engine, which is connected to a four-speed manual transaxle that drives the rear wheels. A set of drum brakes brings this VW van to a stop.

The selling dealer notes that there’s a little play in the steering. In addition, the radio has been removed.
