The annual Jeep pilgrimage to Moab, Utah, is currently underway, as the 2024 Easter Jeep Safari marks the 58th year of the event. Taking place from March 23 to 31, the annual gathering is an opportunity not only for Jeep enthusiasts to commune but also for Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) to show off some cool concepts and parts.
This year, Jeep puts forward four concepts, utilizing Wrangler, Gladiator and Wagoneer vehicles to have a little fun. From camping cruisers to go-anywhere crawlers, here’s a look at the interesting concepts at this year’s event.
The Jeep Low Down Concept gives off-road-ready vibes paired with a Hemi V-8. (Image courtesy of Stellantis North America)
Special features: Taking a cue from the previous Lower 40 concept, the Jeep Low Down maintains a low center of gravity and adds 42-inch BFGoodrich Krawler mud-terrain tires. Based off the stock Wrangler Rubicon 392, the Low Down sports Poison Apple Red paint, custom black leather seats with cloth inserts, Rhino-lined floors, a radio-delete instrument panel and a red-tinted bikini top.
The Jeep Willys Dispatcher is retro and utilitarian with a cool paint job. (Image courtesy of Stellantis North America)
Special features: Based on the Wrangler 4xe, this concept is a throwback with post-war utilitarian looks combined with modern tech. It gets Super Traxion 36-inch tires, vintage steelie wheels, an old-school front bumper with a classic-looking 8274 Warn winch, Willys badging, custom Element 115 Green paint, saddle-leather and houndstooth seating surfaces, a JPP bikini top and rugged JPP vinyl floor coverings.
Based on the midsize Gladiator pickup, this High Top Concept is ready to go anywhere and tackle the toughest trails. (Image courtesy of Stellantis North America)
Special features: Based on the Gladiator Rubicon midsize truck, this concept showcases JPP design and Mopar parts. This concept sports Ginger Snap metallic exterior paint with retro two-tone graphics and sits on 40×13.5R18 BFGoodrich all-terrain T/A KO3 tires. It features JPP flat fender flares, a modified American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) front bumper, Warn winch, trock trail power steeps, a Decked truck bed storage system, a JPP sun bonnet and JPP pedal kit.
The Jeep Vacationeer Concept is ready to take you off the beaten path and allows you to camp in climate controlled style. (Image courtesy of Stellantis North America)
Special features: Based on the Wagoneer, the premium SUV sports Spearminted exterior paint, body-side woodgrain graphics and Tupelo leather seats. Equpped with 35-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain tires, this vehicle gets a natural 1.5-inch lift to help get you to less traversed camping spots. Other features of note include front and rear skid plates; a front-mounted Warn winch; a Rhino-lined roof; three q1-inch Tyri LED lights; a custom, climate controlled, RedTail Overland Skyloft; second- and third-row delete provides interior access to the Skyloft; and a bed-lined cargo floor.
Will any of the 2024 Easter Jeep Safari concepts be produced?
Though we have seen previous concepts, like the 392, make it into production post Easter Jeep Safari, we don’t see anything here that has a high likelihood of going from concept directly to production. However, these concepts showcase unique paint and JPP parts that we could see showing up in special editions or future trims.
The bottom line
We always love seeing the concepts that pop up during Jeep’s annual pilgrimage. We are surprised we didn’t see any straight electric concepts this year, and since we know the V-8 is leaving the Wrangler lineup after this year, the Low Down concept is definitely a long shot.
Our fave is the retro Willys Dispatcher concept. How about you?
