Like all the other full-size General Motors SUVs, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade also gets a refresh. Since this was all-new for 2021, you’ll see subtle tweaks and tech additions rather than massive changes.
Here’s a quick rundown of what to expect for 2025.
2025 Cadillac Escalade design refresh
Both the interior and exterior get some design tweaks. On the outside, you’ll see a bolder front end design with standard illuminated front crest and refined rear lighting. There are also three new exterior paint colors: Aegean Stone, Deep Sea Metallic and Latte Metallic.
On the inside, you’ll see some of the design elements introduced in the electric Escalade IQ make their way to this gas-powered sibling. This includes an Executive Seating package with 12.6-inch personal screens, rear command center, dual wireless phone charging pads, massaging seats and headrest speakers. There are also two new interior color schemes available: Renaissance Red as well as Jet Black and Sheer Gray.
Still has six trims
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade retains the same six trims we see in 2024: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum and V-Series. We have zero word on pricing for the 2025 model, but the 2024 model starts at $83,890 for the base Luxury trim with rear-wheel drive.
V-Series lives on
The supercharged Escalade-V, introduced for the 2023 model year, lives to see another day. As more and more automakers are starting to ditch V-8 engines in favor of the twin-turbo V-6, this V-Series is a welcome unicorn. Equipped with the 6.2-liter supercharged V-8, the Escalade V delivers a whopping 682 horsepower. It should be noted the base powertrain is a 6.2-liter V-8 sans supercharger, which is also a rarity.
Features of note
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade is packed with technology, and in addition to the very visible 55-inch display that goes from gauge cluster to infotainment screen, you’ll have a whole host of cool tech features, including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features of note: an available AKG Studio Reference 36-speaker premium audio system, standard Super Cruise with a 3-year free trial, available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, available Night Vision, full color head-up display standard starting on the Premium Luxury trim and an available power open-and-close exterior door entry system.
The bottom line
We’ve always liked the Cadillac Escalade for its smooth power, supercharger availability and interesting tech. We could leave the seats though. They haven’t super comfy over the years, so we’re curious to see this updated model IRL to see if any tweaks have been made there as well.
Though we don’t have an exact date, Cadillac says the 2025 Escalade will be available “later this year.” Production begins in “late 2024,” which tells me it will likely be December when this refreshed model hits dealers. This full-size SUV continues to be built at the GM Arlington Assembly in Texas, which is the exclusive assembly site for the gas-powered Escalade.
