When the Bronco finally returned to Ford’s lineup in the 2020 model year, it didn’t show up alone. It brought along its little brother, the Bronco Sport. Just as many siblings do, the Bronco Sport takes after its big bro in certain ways. That resemblance is even more visible in the updated 2025 Bronco Sport, which is available with a variety of functional, technological, and off-road upgrades, including the Sasquatch Package.

All 2025 Bronco Sports come with new bumpers that have attachments points for accessories such as brush guards, auxiliary lighting, or dune flag mounts. Outer Banks Sasquatch, Badlands, and Badlands Sasquatch models have integrated tie-down points rated for up to 150 pounds that flip out of the front fenders to help secure cargo on the roof.

Inside, a 12.3-inch digital instrument display and a SYNC 4 infotainment system with a 13.2-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across the Bronco Sport range. The same goes for the Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ suite of safety and driver assistance features. Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0, which adds a 360-degree camera with a Split View function that uses the mirror-mounted cameras to show the front tires, Reverse Brake Assist, and Speed Sign Recognition, is standard on the Badlands model and available on the Bronco Sport Outer Banks. Bronco Bolts, used to indicate a component is modular and “Accessory Ready,” are present on the available Bring Your Own Device tray on top of the dashboard and the available passenger-side grab handle.

Other improvements include a new Off-Road G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) Mode and Trail One-Pedal Drive, which automatically slows the Bronco Sport down when the driver takes their foot off the gas pedal and can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop. An optional 360-Degree Camera with Trail View automatically engages in the Off-Road and Rally (more on that below) G.O.A.T. Modes and shows tire overlays, even at high speeds.

The biggest update to the Bronco Sport is the Sasquatch Package, which can be added to the 1.5-liter Bronco Sport Outer Banks and 2.0-liter Badlands variants. In addition to a twin-clutch rear-drive unit and locking rear differential, Sasquatch-equipped rigs get:

  • Front brush guard
  • Accessory-ready front and rear bumpers with steel bash plates
  • Two front tow hooks and two rear D-rings
  • Steel skid plates
  • New front and rear springs that raise ride height by 0.4 inches compared to the the current Bronco Sport Badlands
  • Bilstein rear shocks with position-sensitive damping and piggyback reservoirs
  • Up to 8.3 inches of front and 8.7 inches of rear suspension travel – 0.6 inches more than the Bronco Sport Badlands
  • 29-inch 235/65/R17 Goodyear Territory AT tires
  • Rally G.O.A.T. Mode, which holds gears longer, sharpens throttle response, and increases steering feedback during high-speed driving over sand (also standard on Bronco Sport Badlands)
  • Ceiling-mounted auxiliary switches

You can find the 2025 Bronco Sport Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands models on dealership lots this November. You’ll have to wait until Q1 2025 to get your hands – and some dirt – on a Bronco Sport fitted with the Sasquatch Package. Expect pricing to be revealed closer to those dates.
