The 2025 Nissan Frontier gets a mid-cycle refresh, adding tech features, capability and a few design tweaks. We know that the Frontier will remain in its current generation at least until 2029, and this might be the biggest set of changes the truck will get until then.

So, here’s a quick look at some of the changes you’ll see for 2025.

Midsize truck + 6-foot bed FTW

While a lot of midsize trucks have removed the long-bed from their lineups, Nissan has its 6-foot bed and has extended its availability for 2025. The long wheelbase with the 6-foot bed is now available across the entire lineup.

2025 Nissan Frontier design tweaks

For 2025, the Frontier exterior gets a revised front bumper, grille and fascia, and the interior gets a redesigned dashboard trims and a 12.3-inch touch screen (SV trim and higher). The PRO-X and PRO-4X models specifically get a new tailgate finisher. Also new: an available Afterburn Orange exterior paint.

The 2025 Nissan Frontier gets an available 12.3-inch screen and adds wireless Android Auto in addition to the wireless Apple CarPlay it already had.

Increased tow ratings

Towing capacities for the 2025 Nissan Frontier increase by about 500 pounds on all trims compared to 2024. Max towing capacity now rings in at 7,150 pounds on the King Cab S trim in the 4X2 configuration.

More tech

In addition to the available 12.3-inch screen, you now have wireless Android Auto (which was previously wired in) as well as wireless Apple CarPlay. Starting at the SL trim, you’ll get standard tech goodies like wireless phone charging and a 360-degree camera view. Plus, in PRO-4X models, when you use that 360-degree camera in Off-Road Mode, it can now be used up to 12 MPH.

Added standard safety

Previously, the tech included in Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 were only available on the base S trim of the Frontier as a part of the $990 Technology Package. Now these features are standard across all trims. This includes things like lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, automatic high beams and adaptive cruise control.

The bottom line

We don’t have any word on pricing just yet, but we do know that these 2025 Nissan Frontier trucks will begin showing up in dealers later this summer. So, expect official pricing closer to that time. However, since we have a lot of extra tech and standard safety, we expect prices to increase by about $1k across the board.
