Rolled out by Premier Tuning Group, Verstand tuning software lets techs tune AMG models anywhere in the world.
Ever wanted to have your AMG tuned, but the closest AMG tuner is quite a long distance away? It’s probably not a common problem, but it is one that some of us have faced. Verstand aims to fix that with remote capabilities for their newest software launch, according to EIR Presswire.
Premier Tuning Group (PTG), the parent company to Verstand, has been tuning turbo AMG motors for years, and has an entire suite of software and hardware to make the most of your ride. The tuning side is the big news here, but the hardware side matters, too.
M177 owners will be happy to see there’s a lot of turbo options and even the M156 has supercharger options. And all of that is utilized at its best with a tune. But the system is meant to be a universal remote access program, so it doesn’t matter who’s tuner or tune you use.
The importance of this remote software capability comes in handy for the DIY folks. Tunes are best suited to the modifications you’ve made for your car, so if you’ve selected a down pipe and a bigger turbo, you’ll get a different tune that the other AMG owner who has just a big turbo on its own. All while not having to bring it in to a shop.
Or, if you’re at an event like a runway drag strip, or a local drag nit shoot out, you’ll be happy to know your tuner can pop in and change things as needed. You’ll just need to find a willing tuner to work on your car at odd times through the day.
Jokes aside, This is a game changer for both AMG owners, and shops who regularly work on, modify and service these cars. PTG claims it can be used with existing tuning systems, so shops that implement Brabus, Kleeman, or other tunes can benefit from this. In a way, fuel stations also benefit from this, but that’s the price we’ll be willing to pay for fun.
