Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1954 Ford Crestline Sunliner. It draws power from a 292ci Y-block V8, which is connected to a Ford-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Goldenrod Yellow and equipped with a black soft top over a yellow and black vinyl interior, this Ford convertible is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.

The body was previously repainted in the original color of Goldenrod Yellow and given a new black soft top. Exterior features include chrome bumpers with guards, body-color mirror caps, and chrome trim.

A set of 15-inch wheels with Ford-branded covers and 205/75 Delta Fortune whitewall tires connect this Sunliner to the road.

The interior features custom yellow and black vinyl upholstery on the split front bench seat, rear bench seat, and door panels. Equipment includes manual windows, a column-mounted automatic shifter, manual steering, Ford’s Magic Aire climate control system, seat belts, aftermarket cup holders, and black and yellow floor mats.

Vehicle information is shown on the Astra-Dial Control Panel’s 110-mph speedometer along with gauges for the fuel level and temperature, warning lights for the oil pressure and generator, and Bosch readouts for the temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The odometer shows 87,411 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

Under the hood is a 292ci Y-block V8, which is equipped with an aftermarket electric choke and connected to a Ford-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission that sends the engine’s output to the rear wheels. The selling dealer reports the generator has been rebuilt and a new starter and a new two-barrel carburetor have been installed.

This Sunliner came from the factory with five frame crossmembers and box-section side rails, a ball-joint front suspension, and a variable-rate leaf spring rear suspension. The engine breathes through dual exhaust outlets.

The selling dealer acknowledges the presence of scratches on the rear bumper, a crack in the passenger-side window, and signs of wear in the cabin.
