As the top-line Mercury for 1964, this Park Lane is painted in the original Fawn hue. Exterior features include dual chrome side mirrors, longitudinal lower-body brightwork, hood ornament, and numerous badges and nameplates.
Black 15-inch wheels with full wheel covers are wrapped in 215/75 Hankook Optimo radial whitewalls.
The two-tone Beige cloth and vinyl interior features a power front bench seat, Swing-Away steering wheel, walnut-tone highlights, push-button AM radio, power steering, and column-mounted transmission shifter. An aftermarket Alpine stereo with FM reception and cassette has been mounted below the dashboard.
The instrument panel includes a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the oil pressure, temperature, alternator, and fuel. The odometer currently reads 4,380, though the true mileage is unknown.
Under the hood, you’ll find the ubiquitous 390 V8. Per the VIN, this Z-code engine was rated at 300 horsepower with a four-barrel carburetor. It’s nicely dressed with gold valve covers and air cleaner. This engine, which was rebuilt last month, is hooked to a three-speed Merc-O-Matic automatic transmission.
The undercarriage features power drum brakes on all four corners. A Magnaflow dual exhaust system is routed to the rear.
