Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this frame-off restored 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport tribute. It is powered by a Turbo-Fire 327ci V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power windows, air conditioning, tilt column with Deluxe wheel, console, Wilwood power front disc brakes, Speedtech Performance suspension, and Viking Performance coil-overs, among other items. Finished in light gold metallic over a black vinyl interior, this Chevelle comes from the seller with a clear title.
Originally painted Butternut Yellow, this Chevelle was repainted Champagne metallic in 2017 and received a newer SS hood and trunk lid. Exterior features include T3 headlights, SS and 396 emblems, black trunk lid panel, rocker panels, and dual side mirrors.
A set of 17-inch REV wheels are supported by Nitto radial tires – 225/45 front and 275/40 rear. The seller states the tires were installed in 2019.
The interior consists of a black vinyl interior with front bucket seats. Features include center console with automatic shifter and clock, Deluxe steering wheel, power steering, air conditioning, and vintage-look AM/FM radio, among other items. The seller states the upholstery, dashboard and pad, headliner, carpet, power windows, and tilt steering column are new.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer plus gauges for the oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery, and fuel level. The odometer shows 1,883 miles, which reflects the miles since the gauges were replaced, though the true mileage of the vehicle is not known.
The engine is a 327ci small-block that’s reportedly original to the car. It’s topped by a four-barrel carburetor and Holley aluminum intake. Other underhood features include chrome valve covers, HEI ignition system, and new power booster and fuel lines. The engine’s original four-speed manual has been replaced by a three-speed automatic.
The undercarriage consists of an independent front and rear suspension with tubular control arms, adjustable coil-overs, Speedtech Performance tubular suspension, and solid rear-drive axle with 3.73 gears. Braking is assisted with power Wilwood front discs and stock rear drums. Exhaust gasses are managed by a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. A new master cylinder and brake lines, Sweet Manufacturing steering box, and dropped spindles are some notable tweaks.
