Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1970 Chevrolet Corvette. It draws power from a rebuilt, numbers-matching LS5 454ci V8 connected to a four-speed manual gearbox. Finished in Bridgehampton Blue over a blue cloth interior, this C3 Corvette comes with an owner’s manual, original paperwork, the Protect-O-Plate, repair receipts, and a clear title.

In January 2024, the body was refinished in Bridgehampton Blue. Exterior features include chrome bumpers, a big-block hood, hideaway wipers, body-color T-tops, a power antenna, and a luggage rack. However, the rear passenger-side side marker is missing.

The curvaceous body rides on a set of 15-inch Rally wheels and 225/70 Nexen Roadian HTX radial tires that were installed in 2018.

In the cockpit, the original blue vinyl upholstery has been replaced with blue cloth. The cabin is equipped with power steering, a Lecarra steering wheel, a Custom Autosound AM/FM stereo, and rear-mounted speakers.

Vehicle information is displayed on a 160-mph speedometer and 7,000-rpm tachometer in the main instrument cluster. The odometer reads 65,841 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate. Auxiliary gauges in the center stack show the coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level.

Under the front-hinged hood is a numbers-matching LS5 454ci V8 with 10.25:1 compression. It was factory-rated to produce 390 horsepower at 4,800 rpm and 500 lb-ft. of torque at 3,400 rpm. The engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission. According to the seller, in 2017, the engine was rebuilt. The same year, the gaskets and water pump were replaced. In addition, a PerTronix ignition system and a Holley 850 four-barrel carburetor were installed. Earlier this year, the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and distributor were replaced and the fluids were changed.

Handling is provided by a four-wheel independent suspension. Disc brakes at every corner bring this Corvette to a stop. Updates completed in 2017 included the replacement of the front lower control arm bushings, front sway bar links, shocks, brake lines, and brake calipers.

The seller has posted walk-around, start-up, and driving videos below.

The auction for this 1970 Chevrolet Corvette ends on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (PDT).
