Classic Ford Show, Ford Fair and FordFest are all set to return in 2024. Here’s all you need to know
Three major Ford shows are set to take place in 2024, marking some key anniversaries for the legendary marque. First up is the Classic Ford Show on Sunday 12th May, marking its own 20th birthday, followed by Ford Fair at Silverstone on Sunday 11th August and then the relaunch of FordFest on Sunday 22nd September, back after a break of over six years and taking place at the beautiful Mallory Park circuit in Leicestershire.
2024 is a great year for key Ford models: the iconic Mustang and Capri both are celebrating key milestones, 60 years and 55 years respectively. A controversial modern replacement to those cars, the Probe, also marks its 30th anniversary in the UK.
The Classic Ford Show returns to the South of England Showground in West Sussex, with a collection of 50 of the best feature cars to have appeared in Classic Ford magazine while the famous Great Unveiling will also return, with five never-before-seen projects revealed to the event goers. The show takes place on Sunday 12th May. For more info and ticket booking can be found at www.classicfordshow.co.uk
Returning to the world-famous Silverstone race circuit is Ford Fair, on Sunday 11th August. The biggest Ford gathering in Europe, expect a wide selection of Blue Ovals of all ages. Simply Mustangs UK are set to bring along a 100-car display to mark the model’s 60th anniversary. There will be a dedicated Classic Ford area as well as live action in the form of DriftKings. If you want to put your own driving skills to the test, then you can buy 20-minute slots on Silverstone’s national circuit. More info and ticket booking can be found at www.fordfair.co.uk
Wrapping up a year of celebrations will be the return of FordFest that last ran in 2018. This time it will take place at Mallory Park, a venue used previously for Classic Ford Show back in 2019. Smaller than Ford Fair, it will nonetheless provide a fitting finale for Fords of all ages, with a chance to drive the beautiful circuit as well as hang out with like-minded enthusiasts. More info and ticket booking can be found at www.fordfestshow.co.uk
All three shows will also have dedicated displays from clubs from all over the UK and further afield, spanning all eras of Fords. Dedicated club awards, show and shine displays, magazine paddocks and much more will make up these Ford events. So if you want to join in with the birthday celebrations in 2024, head down to any one of these three Ford shows and make it a year to remember for this iconic marque.
