With nearly 800 horsepower and a price tag north of $300,000, the Brabus S63 AMG E is a luxury sedan with all-out supercar pedigree.
It’s no secret that AMG has proven time and time again that a luxury sedan doesn’t have to be slow. In the modern world, though, AMG is also pushing the limits of hybrid technology and bending to their potency will. Gone are the days of a hybrid system trading horsepower for efficiency. We’re sure we don’t have to explain this, either, but things start to get even crazier when you add Brabus into the mix. So, naturally, you can expect this Brabus S63 E Performance to be a monster.
Brought to us courtesy of RDB LA via their YouTube channel and Instagram account, we get a chance to take a closer look at this incredible luxury land yacht. That’s very generous of them because most of us common fold won’t ever get a chance to take a look at one of these $300,000 beasts in person. Part limo, part supercar, and 100% drool-worthy. Let’s dive in.
Carbon Fiber and Class Blend Perfectly
The Brabus S63 AMG is laced end-to-end with carbon fiber. Carbon fiber goes inherently well with a black car, but the team at RDB LA decided to take it to the next level. Adding a set of Brabus monoblock wheels and deleting most of the chrome makes for a stealthy and downright evil-looking ride. The dark window tint hides the stitched red leather interior, which accents well with one of the only two exterior elements left untouched: the chrome AMG badge and the red S63 logo.
For those unfamiliar, the S63 AMG E Performance is a plug-in hybrid that combines an electric motor at the rear with a handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 up front. Together, they make an eye-watering 791 horsepower and 1,055 pound-feet of torque. Despite its curb weight of over 5,700 pounds, this propels the S63 from zero to 60 in just 3.2 seconds. For something of its stature, that is almost unbelievable acceleration.
There’s no arguing that Brabus modifications to AMG vehicles sometimes raise some eyebrows. However, it’s almost guaranteed that most enthusiasts can agree on this one. It looks absolutely phenomenal. Even if the S-class isn’t really your thing, this would still turn your head in a heartbeat. It’s hard to think that we’d prefer to ride in something else if we ever hit the big time enough to be chauffeured around. Even still, if this was the limousine of choice, we’d probably skip the driver altogether and get behind the wheel ourselves.
