Frontline Cars, purveyor of MGB restomods, is making its US debut at a number of events with the V8-powered LE60
MG restomod specialist Frontline Cars has announced its attendance of a number of prestigious US car events throughout August as it aims to introduce its products to a new audience.
The MGB-based Frontline LE60 – first launched in 2023 – will appear at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering and a number of events across the famous Monterey Car Week between 9–18 August. The car is a tour-de-force showing of the brand’s best restomodding efforts, powered by a modernised 4.8-litre Rover V8 and sporting a widened track, uprated chassis and custom suspension from specialists Nitron.
Other upgrades include a limited-slip differential, uprated brakes with six- and four-piston calipers front and rear, plus 16-inch Dunlop-style alloy wheels and high-performance tyres. A five-speed gearbox replaces the standard car’s four-speed item, while bespoke interior and exterior options help each car meet its owner’s exacting specifications.
Frontline has stated that while production will continue at its Oxfordshire base, ‘a comprehensive American formula and aftersales function’ has been developed to keep customer service and support in the US on par with that currently enjoyed by UK buyers.
“Attending Monterey Car Week has been a dream for us for many years,” said Frontline founder and chief engineer Tim Fenna. “There’s a deep appreciation for classic British sports cars in America, as well as big V8 engines, and we’re excited to bring our car to this passionate audience.
“The LE60 has never been ‘just a car’ to us – it’s a heartfelt celebration of our [Frontline’s] history and our deep connection with this iconic British brand. We can’t wait to meet enthusiasts who share our love for the MGB at Monterey Car Week, and to offer them the chance to experience the blend of tradition and modern performance that defines our vehicles.”
