German tuner Hof, which specializes in making very powerful Mercedes G-Class, has developed the most powerful G-Glass ever, which takes elements from the Mercedes F1 car and is a tribute to Lewis Hamilton.

Until now, the most powerful production Mercedes G-Class was the AMG G63 AMG version with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and 585 PS and the electric G 580 with EQ technology with 587 PS. Of the tuned Mercedes G-Class models, the most powerful was the 900 PS G-Class made by Brabus. But the Sindelfingen-based tuner Hof, which specializes in making exclusive G-Class models, shows that much more is possible.

Ahead of the Formula 1 MP in Abu Dhabi in early December, Hof unveiled a super G-Class titled ‘Sir Class’ on the Arabian kingdom’s circuit. This is a super-tuned G-Class with 1,063 PS and Formula 1 looks.

Under the hood is the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 pushed to the limit. To achieve 1,063 PS and 1,150 Nm of torque, the engine has been completely overhauled and equipped with reinforced connecting rods, forged aluminum pistons, new turbochargers, an aluminum airbox, and new software. The HOF does not disclose the boost pressure. The exclusive ceramic tailpipe exits from the side, in front of the rear wheels.

Thus, this super G-Class, with a curb weight of 2.5 tons, accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in just 3.5 seconds, and the top speed is 300 kph, while the production version is limited to 250 kph and the Brabus to 280 kph.

The suspension has also been completely overhauled. New springs were fitted and the suspension was lowered by 3 cm, while the car was shod with huge 23-inch forged wheels, fitted with ceramic brake disks. The engine hood and flared wheel arches are made of carbon fiber and the car is painted in the special HOF 1063 color, a mesmerizing transition from menacing black in the rear to radiant sterling silver at the front. This paint is similar to the official Petronas paint of the Formula 1 car.

Also, the standard steering wheel has been replaced with a yoke-like steering wheel that evokes the Formula 1 car and the Mercedes-AMG One but has fewer buttons than in Formula 1. The HOF Sir Class has high-performance sports seats upholstered in Nappa leather and Alcantara upholstery with green-blue inserts and the number 1063 inscribed on the headrests. A Formula 1 racetrack is stitched onto the Alcantara-draped headlining, also in green-blue. The HOF Gun Metal Interior package comes with open-pore matte carbon fiber elements.

This model is a homage to Lewis Hamilton, seven-time Formula World champion, who has left Mercedes-AMG Petronas to race for Ferrari in the 2025 season. Hamilton has an impressive 105 wins and 202 podiums in F1.

HOF will build just 11 “Sir Class” examples, each costing 650,000 euros, making them more expensive than the Ferrari Purosangue or Lamborghini Urus, but less expensive than the 900 PS Brabus G-Class.
