The all-new Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram was unveiled at Pebble Beach, has just two seats, a twin-turbo V8 engine, and is available in two color combinations.

The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram does away with the 2+2 seating configuration of the Mercedes-AMG SL and has just two seats, making it the sportiest model in Maybach’s history.

The new Maybach SL can be configured with two-tone paint combinations: Manufaktur garnet red metallic or Manufaktur opaline white magno combined with obsidian black metallic on the bonnet. The chrome radiator grille surround and Maybach lettering are illuminated, and the obsidian black bonnet is available with the Maybach pattern incorporated in graphite grey uni, a very complex process partly done by hand.

The sound-insulating bonnet is made of light black fabric with the Maybach logo in anthracite. Behind the seats, an aerodynamically designed double scoop reinforces the individual look.

The interior is dressed in exclusive crystal white nappa leather upholstery and has trim parts in gleaming silver chrome. The crystal white leather upholstery also extends to the door panels, the center console, and the space behind the seats. The digital instrument cluster and electrically adjustable multimedia display have Maybach-specific menus, while the steering wheel, the stainless-steel pedals, and the stainless-steel door sill trims carry the brand’s signature design.

Mercedes doesn’t give too many technical details but says the suspension has been tuned for more comfort, the engine has softer support, the exhaust sound has been optimized, and sound insulation has been improved.

The 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 V8 engine with 585 PS and 800 Nm is taken from the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4Matic and mated to the 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission. The engine sends power to all wheels via the 4Matic fully variable four-wheel drive system, and all-wheel steering is standard.

The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram will be available in Europe in the spring of 2025 and later on other continents.
