Designed for commercial highway vehicles, the new Firestone Transforce HT3 and CV2 tires are the first in the Firestone lineup to feature ENLITEN technology, offering improved wear and wet performance for fleet operations.

The Transforce HT3 and CV2 are tailored for different segments of the commercial tire market. The HT3 is designed for heavy-duty trucks, while the CV2 is intended for last-mile delivery vans. Both tires share similar construction and tread design, while incorporating unique features that suit their specific applications.

“Our aim with the Firestone Transforce HT3 and CV2 tires was to develop reliable commercial tires that withstand the demands of fleet service while offering a quiet and durable ride experience,” said Jeremy Norwood, Chief Engineer, Consumer Replacement Product Engineering. “These tires provide the expected performance, allowing fleet managers to focus on their operations without tire-related concerns.”

The Transforce HT3 tire is available in LT sizes and is designed for heavy-duty trucks with rim diameters between 16 and 20 inches. It features an off-shoulder sidewall design that reduces noise and enhances the tire’s appearance. Its tread compound is built to provide traction, durability, and support for year-round hauling and towing.

Key features of the Transforce HT3 tire:

  • Long-Lasting, Reliable Wear: A newly developed tread compound helps resist irregular wear, while interlocking 3D sipes provide uniform stiffness and resilience for enhanced durability, even under load.
  • Dependable Wet Traction: The tire’s open shoulder slots and high see-through voids improve water evacuation, promoting better wet performance, even with heavy loads.

Transforce CV2 tire

The Transforce CV2 tire is available in EURO-C and LT sizes and is designed for highway use in last-mile delivery vehicles. It includes a sidewall defense rib for enhanced durability and chip-tear resistance, while its shoulder-slot design improves traction in snowy conditions.

Key features of the Transforce CV2 tire:

  • Long-Lasting, Reliable Treadwear: The tire’s long-wearing compound and tread pattern are engineered to resist irregular wear. Interlocking sipes ensure consistent tread stiffness and resilience throughout the tire’s lifespan.
  • Reinforced Sidewall Durability: A sidewall defense rib enhances durability and protects against chip-tear damage, even in curb-heavy environments.
  • Wet and Winter Traction: The tire’s open shoulder design and high see-through voids facilitate water evacuation for confident wet performance. Interlocking sipes offer dependable winter traction to ensure the vehicle keeps moving, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Efficient Rolling Resistance: Built to improve fuel efficiency, the Transforce CV2 optimizes rolling resistance, even in stop-and-start driving situations common in delivery applications.
