Jermaine Johnson and Hannah Brooke celebrated their one-year anniversary in the pinkest AMG GLE 53 Coupe you have ever seen.

It never ceases to amaze at how much the color of a vehicle can completely change its personality. The AMG GLE 53 Coupe uses a twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder engine to create a stout 429 horsepower. Thanks to that power, the AMG Speedshift 9-speed automatic transmission and AMG Performance 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system the vehicle can scoot to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds. But the GLE 53 is about more than just speed. It is rated to tow an impressive 7,700 pounds as well. This is a fast, tough, serious vehicle. But wrap it in hot pink vinyl and the entire vibe changes.

Jermaine Johnson is an NFL Pro Bowler that plays linebacker for the NY Jets. His girlfriend is model Hannah Brooke. Johnson told Brooke that he had a special surprise for her for their one-year anniversary. She took to her Instagram page to record the moment when she got her gift. She thought she knew what it would be. But she was way off. She is led outside and presented with her gift which is an AMG GLE 53 Coupe that was customized by Champion Motoring. The vehicle is covered in hot pink. All the exterior body panels are pink, the three-pointed star in the grille is pink, the brake calipers are pink, the wheels have a pink trim around the edge. This thing is PINK. Blacked out taillights and tinted windows do little to tone down the wattage of this vehicle.

Her Reaction

Brooke is obviously a fan of the pink color scheme. When she sees the car for the first time she screams in delight. Then the tears of joy start flowing. She opens the door and finds that the floor mats have been customized with her initials that are also in hot pink. She literally begins to shake with excitement. It is a very sweet moment for the couple.

Pink wrap

Brooke is thrilled with the car and that is all that matters. And I am not about to tell an NFL linebacker what color he should wrap his girlfriend’s car. But what do you think of it? The car certainly stands out from the crowd. Brooke will have no problem finding her car in a crowded parking lot. Most AMG cars are painted in black, white, or some shade of gray. This one dares to be different, and that can be a good thing. But would you drive it? The AMG GLE 53 Coupe starts at about $90K, and with some options and the customization work, this probably set Johnson back at least six figures. If someone gave you a $100K AMG but it was wrapped in this hot pink, would you be happy? Would you drive it? It is a great ride, but the color is polarizing. Would the color alone be enough to keep you out of the driver’s seat?
