Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Ford Maverick vehicles equipped with Connected Touch Radios (CTR). For this Ford Maverick recall, the rearview camera image may freeze when the vehicle is in reverse.

An inoperative rearview camera display can reduce the driver’s rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will update the Connected Touch Radio (CTR) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 30, 2024. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 24S59.

If you own a 2022-2024 Ford Maverick, be sure to consult the NHTSA recalls portion of the website and type in the specific VIN of your truck to see if this current recall applies to your vehicle. Previously, we’ve reported on a recall concerning taillight failure and turn signal problems.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
