A limited-edition Mercedes-AMG GT 63 brings a motorsport-inspired design, but only 200 will be lucky enough to own it.

Limited Edition, Maximum Style

Mercedes-AMG has launched a new “Motorsport Collectors Edition” of the AMG GT 63, limited to just 200 units. With its striking design influenced by the brand’s Petronas Formula 1 team, the car stands out thanks to a sleek Obsidian Black metallic finish adorned with a unique hand-painted Mercedes star pattern on the rear. Complementing the black base color, neon aqua details—a nod to Petronas’ signature hue—are featured on the side window trim, sills, and the car’s 21-inch rims.

A Tribute to Formula 1

The exterior design of the Motorsport Collectors Edition draws heavily from AMG’s Formula 1 liveries. These include bright aquamarine stripes on the front air intakes and a similar treatment on the large brake calipers of the car’s carbon-ceramic braking system. The car also carries the performance hardware of the track-ready AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+, blending a race-inspired aesthetic with real-world performance.

A Bold Interior to Match

Inside, the theme continues with premium racing-inspired materials. Black Nappa leather and microfiber with aquamarine contrast stitching dominate the cabin, while illuminated door sills also reflect the Petronas F1 team’s signature color. The center console features an exclusive “1 of 200” badge, underscoring the rarity of this model. The motorsport-inspired interior merges luxury with a racing edge, and drivers are reminded of the car’s exclusivity every time they step inside.

Power Remains Unchanged, But It’s Plenty

Despite its F1-inspired appearance, the Motorsport Collectors Edition retains the same powertrain as the AMG GT 63 PRO. Its 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 produces an impressive 603 horsepower, capable of launching the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 197 mph. This power is delivered through AMG’s advanced all-wheel-drive system, ensuring exceptional grip and handling for both road and track.

Fast and Road-Legal

While the Motorsport Collectors Edition features all the aggressive aero elements of the GT 63 PRO, including a fixed rear wing, front aero components, and improved cooling, it remains a road-legal machine. Owners can take it from a track day to daily drives with ease, though its head-turning design might suggest otherwise.

A Masterpiece for the Collectors

Each of the 200 units comes with a custom car cover, further cementing its status as a collector’s item. Mercedes-AMG hasn’t officially announced pricing, but with previous models in this range costing around $200,000, expect this exclusive model to be in that ballpark. For those fortunate enough to secure one of these limited editions, it will serve as both a statement of luxury and performance—an homage to AMG’s legacy in motorsport.
