Tesla Cybertruck recall: Unintended acceleration

Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2024 Cybertruck vehicles. For this Tesla Cybertruck recall, The accelerator pedal pad may dislodge and cause the pedal to become trapped by the interior trim.

A trapped accelerator pedal can cause the vehicle to accelerate unintentionally, increasing the risk of a crash.

Tesla service will replace or repair the accelerator pedal assembly, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed in June 2024. Owners may contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752. Tesla’s number for this recall is SB-24-33-003.

This is the second recall involving the Tesla Cybertruck. The first was for an incorrect font size on warning lights, and it affected all Teslas. If you own a 2024 Cybertruck, be sure to consult the NHTSA recalls portion of the website and type in the specific VIN of your truck to see if this Tesla Cybertruck recall applies to your vehicle.
