TikTok user Advan Plakolli from Tiktok has captured the upcoming Mercedes S-Class facelift and the video posted on Tiktok clearly shows the headlights and taillights with the Mercedes logo taken from the E-Class. The test car is camouflaged in the front and rear areas where the main changes will take place.

As the car pulls out of a lane and signals, you can see the yellow turn signals in the shape of the Mercedes logo as on the E-Class. Then, towards the end of the video, after the car has passed in front of us, you can also see the taillights at the rear with the same Mercedes logo as on the E-Class.

Lack of imagination or a good idea? Adopting the same lighting design as on the E-Class could be considered unimaginative, but it looks like this is the brand’s new lighting identity and will be seen on several models. It debuted on the CLA Concept at the Munich Mobility Show in the fall of 2023 and is also present on the new E-Class. The S-Class would be the third model with the new light identity that will likely be taken over by the entire new compact range – the GLA, GLB, and CLA Shooting Brake – at a later date.

The test car captured in the photos has a license plate from Boblingen, a suburb of Stuttgart, where Mercedes frequently tests future models.

The Mercedes S-Class facelift will appear in the fall of 2025, 5 years after the new-generation W223 was unveiled in the fall of 2020. The facelift should extend the lifecycle by about three more years until 2028. It won’t be the last S-Class, as a new generation will follow in 2028, with Mercedes recently announcing that it will sell cars with combustion engines beyond 2030, even though it had originally planned to sell only electric models from 2030.

The OM656 diesel will remain in the program, this one meeting the Euro 7 rules that come into force on July 1, 2025, without any problems. In addition, we expect more PHEV versions to be offered, which have been much more successful at Mercedes than electric models lately.
