Mercedes will have three world premieres at the China Auto Show in Beijing from April 25 to May 4, 2024: the Mercedes EQS facelift, the Mercedes G-Class electric, and the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance.
The China Auto Show in Beijing will take place from April 25 to May 4, 2024, at the China International Exhibition Center Shunyi New Venue. Mercedes will present three world premieres at the event: the Mercedes EQS facelift, the Mercedes G-Class electric, and the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance.
On the occasion of the announcement of the three world premieres, Mercedes also revealed the name of the electric G-Class. It will be called the Mercedes G 580 with EQ Technology.
After unveiling the G-Class facelift a few weeks ago, Mercedes will unveil the long-awaited electric version in Beijing. The car will be exhibited on April 24 at Art District 798 in Beijing and then on April 25 at the Auto China Mercedes global press conference.
The Mercedes G-Class 580 with EQ Technology features four electric motors, which simulate the function of three lockable differentials, and the battery is protected by a housing made from carbon fiber at the bottom. The G-580 with EQ Technology will also feature the much-publicized G-Turn function that allows the car to rotate on the spot through 360 degrees.
Another expected premiere is the Mercedes EQS facelift. It will receive a comprehensive facelift that will include executive rear seats, and the upright start on the front hood, while the range of some versions will exceed 800 km.
The third world premiere is the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance equipped with the new P3 Hybrid system from the recently launched Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance. It will premiere at a special AMG Brand Night Event in Shanghai during the Formula 1 weekend on April 20 and, from April 25, can be seen at the Mercedes stand at Auto China.
