Auburn, Indiana – Worldwide Auctioneers is gearing up for its annual Enthusiast Auction at home in Auburn, Indiana this month, welcoming passionate collectors back to town for Enthusiast Car Week. Scheduled for April 26 -27, The Enthusiast Auction will showcase a strikingly diverse offering of 150 special cars, from magnificent pre-war automobiles and iconic European sportscars, to state-of-the-art cybertrucks and antique electric vehicles, select muscle cars, American classics and vintage trucks, and an exciting selection of the best memorabilia to be found. The event will also welcome aficionados back for the fourth annual Enthusiast Tour, a one-of-a-kind, quintessentially Midwestern classic driving tour that runs from 23 -26 April. Participants can again look forward to experiencing unique private collections, specialist automotive stops, distinctive local attractions and some fine Indiana dining, before rolling right back into Auburn for The Enthusiast Auction itself.
Fittingly for the Home of the Classics, pre-war automobiles are very well-represented at the Enthusiast Auction, with a stunning, multiple award-winning 1934 Packard Twelve 1107 Coupé Roadster among the highlights. Exceptionally restored, it is believed to be 1 of fewer than 25 known examples. Other significant Classic Era cars slated for the sale include an expertly restored 1931 Chrysler Imperial CG Convertible Coupe, offered from 53 years of single enthusiast ownership and 1 of only 10 known to exist. Also on offer is a rare 1946 Delahaye 135M Drophead Coupe, 1 of only 9 surviving examples with coachwork by Worblaufen of Berne, Switzerland, documented with a report by a Club Delahaye historian.
Significantly more far out there and offered with a mere 360 delivery miles is a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck AWD Foundation Series, one of the most futuristic and technologically advanced vehicles produced and 1 of just 1,000 Foundation Series Cybertrucks manufactured. Accompanied by its original window sticker and manual, it will cross the block along with its electric vehicle antithesis, a pioneering 108-year-old 1916 Rauch & Lang Electric BX6 Brougham, authentically restored and ready AACA events and outings.
European sports cars lined up for this year’s sale include an impeccably documented 1986 De Tomaso Pantera GT5-S, the first of just three GT5-S Models delivered directly to Carroll Shelby. Authenticated by Shelby himself, with signature, factory documents, certificate of origin, and various correspondence, it is one of the most historically significant De Tomaso Pantera GT5-Ss extant. Other consignments offered with impeccable celebrity provenance include the Bee Gees Barry Gibb’s 1999 Bentley Turbo RT LWB Sedan, the last Turbo RT LWB built for North America, used by the famous singer as a personal car at his Miami home. The Enthusiast Auction will also showcase a select offering of the very best memorabilia, all selling at no reserve.
