Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this restored 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible. It is powered by a replacement 400cid V8 paired with a TH400 automatic transmission. Features include Rally II wheels, bucket seats, console with Hurst Dual-Gate shifter, power front disc brakes, power steering, updated AM/FM/cassette stereo, and more. Finished in triple black, this Goat comes from the selling dealer with a clean title.

The exterior is painted in Starlight Black with matching Endura front bumper. Features include fixed headlights, contrasting hood scoop boots, front fender-mounted antenna, and black power convertible top.

The 14-inch Rally II wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich raised-letter radials.

The interior consists of black bucket seats with a center console. When the console was specified with an automatic transmission, Pontiac included the Hurst Dual-Gate shifter. Features include air conditioning (currently non-functional),  aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo system, new seat upholstery, and power steering.

The instrument panel consists of a 120-mph speedometer, 8000-rpm tachometer, and fuel gauge. The odometer currently reads 22,387 but the true mileage is unknown.

The engine compartment consists of a replacement 400cid V8 with a single four-barrel carburetor. It is paired with a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission.

This 1968 Pontiac GTO features an independent front suspension with a solid rear-drive axle with Safe-T-Track limited slip differential. Other features include power disc brakes up front and a dual exhaust system out back.

The auction for this 1968 Pontiac GTO convertible ends Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (PDT).
